PhilPost Woes [Aug. 14th, 2008|12:54 pm]
Kalakhang Maynila

Does anyone know how long packages sent from abroad get to Manila? I ordered a book from Japan about three weeks ago and still haven't received it. Emailed the seller and was told things sent to US and Europe usually get there in a couple of weeks or less so it should get to the Philippines in about a week. Articles like this are not helping my anxiety any.

Still kicking myself in the ass for not considering other courier services like LBC. At least they have online tracking.

where did you buy it?
if you paid for EMS, it should be in the PO in a week.
but for regular packages, could take long like 2 wks.

I've asked someone in Japan to buy it for me and she sent it by regular mail. Of course I could suspect her but I know people who ordered things from her and actually received them.

2 weeks, huh? Way past that now. I'm getting worried, haha. *cries*

(Akanishi fan? ;))

ahaha yeah, Jin. <3
maybe your package is on its way as we speak hehe.

hmm, is your PO the main one in Manila? usually delivery also depends on the location. outside the Metro, postal offices are more efficient x_X. haven't lost any stuff i bought from cdjapan or yesasia. ;)

Yup, the main one. I just called them and they said they can't know if my package has arrived since it's "door-to-door." Yeah, I have no idea what she meant either.

maybe your package is on its way as we speak hehe.

Hayyy, I hope. For the moment, my plan is to wait one more week before I really start worrying. :)

i've ordered online (never from japan though) and the longest i've waited for a package was three to four months. amazon actually sent the item again, because both parties (us and them) thought the initial package was already lost. but 'lo and behold, it came after four months.

we sent it back to amazon--because we're honest that way.

but usually, it takes two weeks for my orders to arrive. sometimes less.
